On Teaching Creative Writing
While preparing to teach Introduction to Creative Writing through the University of Guelph’s Open Learning program for the fourth time, David spoke with Jessica Proeller about the course and the reading list he had curated for it.
The course brought fiction, poetry, drama, screenwriting, and creative nonfiction into the same room: an approach that reflects David’s own movement between forms and his interest in what one kind of writing can teach another.
